Semi Private Yoga Therapy is a specific methodology where you, as a student, receives individual attention and assistance in each pose. Because this is more akin to bodywork than a yoga class, I do require that you do an intake with me so I know what (if anything) I should be aware of before you show up for class.
I would suggest you read a little bit about Deep Spinal Release Yoga - it's an atypical approach that is sometimes challenging to teach to people who have done other styles of yoga.

Session 1 - June 13 though Deep Spinal Release Semi-Private Yoga Therapy- which will assist in downregulating your Autonomic Nervous System
Session 2 - TBA Nervous System RESET - practices and education to change your relationship with your NS using tracking tools, micropractices, homework and some one on one

This is a course, not a drop in class - it is recommended you attend all 4 sessions
The structure of the course:
20 minute Zoom call with each participant before the course begins. This is for intake and brief discussion. Also, I really want to know you!
Required before the first session - Watch Nervous System 101
Session #1 - Overview, tracking, practices and assigned homework
Session #2 - Check in, explore some practices, assigned homework
Session #3 - same
Session #4 - Check in, next steps, questions
20 minute Zoom call - There isn't going to be a whole lot of time during the sessions to talk, this is a way of wrapping up and feeling complete in this part of the process.

Will we be doing any Asana? Perhaps we will explore in the context of tracking your response to Asana - so maybe
What about Pranayama - we will be exploring breath, not specifically yoga related
Can I just come to class and not do the education - NOPE, the embodiment practices are SUPER important AND you need to know why all this ties together.
If no asana, then why is it called "Yoga for your Nervous System"- I'll be sharing micro-practices that you will be doing several times a day for VERY short periods of time. This will be tuning you into your state, then responding and noticing how you feel. You are developing Autonomic Awareness, you are turning toward yourself, you are learning about YOU via DIRECT experience of this here moment, which is Self Awareness. Yoga is technology for Self Awareness.
Can I miss one of the sessions? Of course you can, however you will need to do a Zoom with me which I can do for and hourly rate of $90. If the session is 30 minutes I charge for 30 minutes.

Yoga for your Nervous System – this is a course, not individual classes. We won’t be doing much in the way of asana - this course is a way of integrating some practices and education regarding your Autonomic Nervous System - which is a HUGE key component of your how you feel, your health, your relationship with your body and your being.
Yoga is essentially a path to Self-Awareness, this course is absolutely in line with Yoga in that you will be learning some micro-practices to bring you back to a feeling of safety in your own system.
I’ve been teaching since 2002 and have also done Yoga Therapy for over 20 years. In 2014 I met Jessica Schaffer after a significant life change (divorce). At that time she was a TRE trainer. After she worked in that modality for several years she found that it was re-traumatizing for many. She developed her own methodology/pedagogy for working with the Autonomic Nervous System.
I started the NSR Training in 2019, which takes about 2 years to complete. I’ve been working with individual clients for the last 2 ½ years and am ready to share this work in a small group setting.
